I remember a dark and stormy night.

We've seen many things together. Battled all manner of foes. From the days when all I could do when faced with danger was teleporting to safety, my trainer has patiently helped me develop my psychic powers.

I used to be sure that with my trainer by my side, we could take on anything that came at us.

It is morning, but barely, and the sun has yet to appear.

Game and Watch awakens. He sits up, looking around. Everyone else is asleep, except...

Samus's armor lies empty in the bushes. Game and Watch excitedly searches for the female warrior. He spies footprints leading away from camp. He follows, his footsteps clicking with anticipation.

He walks for some time, hoping that Samus is alright.

He comes through some rough terrain to a clearing, a great dusty expanse surrounded by sickly trees and dying shrubs.

SSBM Survivor Day 1DAY 1: Trekkers

After collecting all of the contestants that jumped from the bus, Jeff noted the state of the bus, and reasoned that it wouldn't make it to their proposed camps. He made an executive decision to make the camping spots on the nearest plains, which were just over a mountain.

Mewtwo decided to be a jerk and teleport there, leaving everybody. He found himself on the plain, with nothing to do but wait for his comrades.

MEWTWO: Hmmm, passing over that mountain must be rather dangerous. Hopefully a few of them will not make it. Maybe... maybe I could hurry that process. Muhahahahaha!

Well now, hadn't he taught THAT Goomba fiend a lesson? The creature was now nothing more than blood and brain fluid! Another successful stomping. Time to move on, thinks Mario to himself. There's lots-a more evil to conquer!

Mario doesn't have to wait for very long. There, near that pipe - A Koopa! The fiend is crawling in our hero's direction on all fours. Oh, so it's one of Bowser's baddies. Just like old times... Without a moment's hesitation, Super Mario springs forth! With an almightily satisfying POW, that dumb Koopa is sent flying out of its shell and skidding across the ground...

Mario backed into the wall, eyes shut tight.

"Get away from me. You are just-a wacko!"

As Mario shook his head fiercely, the shadow of the approaching figure grew in size along the wall behind him. Our hero was visibly shaking and perspiring, as terror took a firm hold over his heart.

He couldn't resist any longer. The evil was so close now that he could feel the intensity of the gaze even through his closed eyelids. In mute horror, Mario slowly opened his eyes... what he saw melted his soul, yet chilled his blood at the same time.

It was Weegee.

Weegee was no longer moving, instead remaining stationary. It was fixing Mario with an unblinking stare. Mario could see himself reflected in those shining blue orbs. He could see himself start to change...

The transformation was over within seconds. Where the kind hero Mario had once stood was now a bastardized creature, hungry for souls. Another Weegee had been born.

The rest of the world would soon follow...
